Prescription Verification

Meolx Prescription Verification Process (For U.S. Customers Only)

Meolx cares about the health of our customers' eyes. According to the Fairness to Contact Lens Consumers Act (FCLCA), any seller of contact lenses is required to verify the customer’s prescription before selling lenses. To ensure that you receive contact lenses suitable for your eye health, Meolx will complete the prescription verification process before selling any lenses.

How Does the Process Work?

Provide Prescription Information
First, you need to provide valid contact lens prescription information. We will submit your prescription to your prescribing doctor for verification. Your doctor has eight business hours to respond. If the doctor does not respond within the required time frame, your prescription will be automatically verified, and we can proceed with selling you the contact lenses.

Submit Prescription Copy
To initiate the verification process, you must provide a valid copy (photo or scan) of your prescription. Here are the easiest and most efficient ways to handle this:

When Creating a Meolx Account
You can upload your prescription copy during the account creation process.

At Checkout
You will be prompted to upload your prescription copy when you check out in the shopping cart.

Email Submission
You can also send a copy or photo scan of your prescription to our customer service email: info@meolx.com, along with your name and order ID.

Verification Request to Your Prescriber
Please provide us with your prescriber’s name and contact details (email or phone number), and we will contact them directly to verify your prescription as soon as possible. As mentioned above, according to the Contact Lens Rule, prescribers have eight business hours to respond, and if there is no response within that time, the prescription will be automatically verified. Please note that business hours are defined as the hours between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m., Monday through Friday, excluding federal holidays, in the prescriber’s time zone.

What if I Don’t Have a Contact Lens Prescription?

If you do not yet have a contact lens prescription, you can easily find an eye doctor near you through online service providers like Visibly and schedule an eye exam. After the exam, simply send us a copy of the prescription.
